The wolf reintroduction program is a complex environmental initiative. I sent a message to Senator Bennet requesting he reconsider his pause in support for this complex voter approved initiative.
Thank you for speaking up for wolves and the wild. We don’t want Colorado to become the feedlot state so a handful of cattle barons and rich ranchers can get richer. All species and the environment will thrive and become stronger, as will the whole ecosystem, when natural predators have their rightful place in the ecology. We won’t have to pay sharpshooters to cull elk herds sick with chronic wasting disease, the riparian areas, small mammals, insects, and birds will return to their natural wholeness, forest diversity will thrive, and farmers who typically lose hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of crops destroyed by overgrazing elk and deer can save their farms and their livelihoods.
